HumEn young scientists inspired following an intensive week of stem cell science 11th-17th September in Hydra, Greece.
Scientists led by Heiko Likert have found a way to distinguish different types of Beta cell. The marker called 'Flattop' can separate mature beta cells from those that are still proliferating, which is important knowledge for exploring how best to create functioning beta cells for a diabetes therapy.
